Cordless dry core drilling up to Ø 100 mm, matched to InterDiamant dry core drills

The InterDiamant Cordless Dry Core Drilling Machine is the 18 V machine in the InterDiamant dry drilling system. It drives M16 dosensenkers on the supplied M16 dust extraction adapter and, with the InterDiamant dust extraction adapter for core drills, 1 1/4" and 1/2" dry core drills, and bores wall penetrations, socket box recesses and pipe and cable passages hand-held, dry and with dust extraction. No cable, no water, no generator: one 18 V battery pack, and the air-conditioning installer, electrician or plumber drills where the work is, on renovation jobs as well as new builds.

Two drilling ranges, one machine

Up to and including Ø 68 mm the machine covers every application, reinforced concrete included: socket box recesses at Ø 68 mm, air-conditioning and ventilation penetrations at Ø 62 to Ø 68 mm, pipe and cable passages through concrete walls. From Ø 68 mm up to and including Ø 100 mm it drills softer materials: brick, sand-lime brick, Poroton, aerated concrete, plaster and similar masonry. That is the range for Ø 82 mm junction boxes and for larger duct and pipe penetrations in masonry.

The cordless machine for air-conditioning installers

An air-conditioning installer drills one or two wall penetrations per split unit, often on an upper floor or through a facade, with no socket nearby. This machine is built for that job: an 18 V battery pack instead of a cable and generator, a Ø 62 mm x 300 mm 3DP-XP dry core drill on the 1 1/4" dust extraction adapter with the 300 to 450 mm centring rod for refrigerant lines, condensate drain and cable, reinforced concrete included, and the cordless L-class dust extractor for work in occupied homes. One machine in the van covers the penetrations and, with a dosensenker on the supplied adapter, the socket recess for the indoor unit.

Brushless motor, 2,000 rpm

A brushless 18 V motor turns the core drill at a no-load speed of 2,000 rpm. The brushless design runs cooler and longer on one battery charge than a brushed motor and needs no carbon brush service.

Switchable soft impact

Dense brick, hard sand-lime brick and concrete can glaze a diamond segment. Switch the soft impact on and 38,000 light impacts per minute help the segment penetrate and keep the diamonds exposed, which protects the segment and keeps the drilling rate up. Switch it off where plain rotary drilling is enough. The operator decides per wall, not per machine.

Dust extraction adapter M16 with centring pin

The supplied M16 dust extraction adapter mounts on the M18 spindle, takes M16 dosensenkers and connects to a construction vacuum. The insertable centring pin fixes the drilling point, so the dosensenker starts exactly where the hole has to go and does not wander on plaster or smooth brick. Once the segment has made its own groove, the pin comes out and the hole is drilled through with the extraction running. For 1 1/4" and 1/2" dry core drills the InterDiamant dust extraction adapter for core drills takes the place of the M16 adapter: it mounts the core drill on the M18 spindle, keeps the vacuum hose connection still while the spindle turns, and is hollow for the 300 to 450 mm centring rod that guides long core drills.

18 V 8 Ah LiHD battery, quick charger and case included

The machine is supplied with an 18 V 8 Ah LiHD battery pack, a quick charger and a stackable system case. The 8 Ah pack is the high-capacity pack of the CAS platform: on a typical air-conditioning installation, two Ø 62 mm penetrations through an outside wall, it is far from empty at the end of the job, and the quick charger brings it back to full in the van between jobs. The machine also runs on every other CAS-compatible 18 V pack the contractor already owns. An LED capacity indicator shows the remaining charge, and the electronics protect the machine against overheating.

Built as a system with InterDiamant dry core drills

InterDiamant manufactures the matching tooling for both ranges: the 3DP-XPD Core Drill dosensenker in Ø 68 mm and Ø 82 mm, M16, application class Soft, on the supplied adapter, and the 3DP-XP Core Drill dry range from Ø 32 mm, 1 1/4" and 1/2", on the 1 1/4" dust extraction adapter. Your dealer matches core drill, application class and connection to the machine, so the system bores a straight, clean hole without cracking the surround, hole after hole.

Intended use

Dry core drilling and box-recess drilling (Dosensenken) in mineral building materials. Up to and including Ø 68 mm: all applications, reinforced concrete included. From Ø 68 mm up to and including Ø 100 mm: softer materials such as brick, sand-lime brick, Poroton, aerated concrete and plaster. Not intended for wood, metal or glass.
